but seriously, click on your present avie and underneath it there is something that says "edit profile". Then there will be the option of changing it.

I know how to change the color of pictures, re-size them, and write text on them. I use Picnik & FotoFlexer to edit photos. I really want to know how to put cool borders on icons, edit them to where they move or flash, and the other stuff that I showed in the examples.Thanks in advance!

There should actually be one in your inventory in the library folder, not fancy but a furry all the same.

I want to change my avatar to a picture of me.

You can take you picture with a digital camera and upload it to your computer and go to profile put black dot into picture of you ( you probaly have to browse to find it if you have your digital camera attached to your computer.) If you take a picture with a disposible camera you would need a scanner to upload it to your computer and do the same as stated above. I hope this information was a help.

Avatar word looks like a sanskrit/hindi word but how come it is being used by an englih movie. What does the word Avatar mean in the movie?

It refers to an avatar, kind of similar to the hindu concept, but also similar to how it’s used in technology. A person’s digital representation is an avatar.

In the movie, it refers to the Avatar form the Marine assumes to learn about the alien race. From what I understand from previews, he is a paraplegic marine chosen to use technology to control a version of the alien race. So that form is his avatar.
