It looks like a studio shot where the lighting was perfectly controlled.
A few semesters of photography will get you going in the right direction.

they have some tools that help. but you cant do it all with editing, the photo has to be right for it.

Try searching online for works by Ansel Adams and Henri Cartier Bresson. You can also just go out and shoot, and get some practice. Remember that the place of the photographer is behind the camera and not in front of the computer — minimize your post processing.:) Have fun!
