I don’t know the measurements in imperial but here goes my metric recipe….

    30 ml white rum
    15 ml lime juice
    15 ml sugar syrup

throw all these ingredients in a cocktail shaker shake and strain into a martini glass and garnish with a couple of lime slices.

if you want to make a fruity daiquiri (shudder) throw in 15 ml of the friuty liqueur of your choice. I used to work at a resort where I made a lot of Mango Daiquris and we used mango pulp, mango liqueur and lots of ice which we then whizzed in a blender until it looked like a slushie. Not a true daiquiri but still a very yummy drink.

Did you know this was initially a drink to combat Malaria? Then we added sugary substances to it to make it taste better! Enjoy!
