What kinds of reasons do males have for using female avatars here on Yahoo Answers?

Do most people think female avatars have a better chance of winning "best answer" or is it something else?

I would have thought the callibre of the answer given would be the most important factor as to whether "best answer" was awarded and the gender of the answerer would be neither here nor there. =)

I used to use a female avatar, but I always made sure everyone knew I was male (notes on my profile)

It was set up by a friend as a joke, I kept her for a long time mostly because a group of girls I was in contact with asked me to

You may be right – Bunches made friends very easily

thiis could also work the other way why do females have male avatars ? It is known on this site quite a lot … the fact is so long as the owner of the account makes it clear their is no problem wit it … what I hate is people who hide behind computers victimising other users on hearsay and contnue to do so months after a situation has dissipated …. this in itself is a form of internet bullying and harassment … which personally I find rather sad behaviour coming from adults who "police" this site by their "own" standards …. fro mwhat I know sadly proof is not needed in this just enough gossip flying around
