If you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager you can open your pic, go to Edit Picture, Resize (on the bottom right) and enter in a custom width and height.

please help me! Its for DeviantArt, and your avatar can only be 50×50 and it has to be smaller than 15 kb. I tried google and askjeeves and photobucket and no luck so far.
If you already have an image in mind, you can try to re-size it yourself with a program like Irfanview (a brilliant free program that I use all of the time). If your image is a square, it will be quick and easy, but if not, you may have to do some cropping to keep it looking right.
If you have no desire to work on or make your own avatar, I did find a site on DeviantArt that says they’ll make an avatar for you (http://avatar-magic.deviantart.com/). There are probably other sites on DeviantArt that would have free avatars of the right size. I also found another site that lets you edit an avatar image on-line (http://www.avatargenerator.org/).
i’ve tried to do it myself, now the picture is so tiny. it wont accept the picture inless it is exactly 50×50. its for deviantart.com if you know anything that might help me. this has really been frustrating.

Alright, after you have made your avatar, check to make sure it is 50×50, and save it under a name you will recognize. Go to "Edit Profile and Settings" on your homepage, click browse, and set your avatar.

You can upload a 50×50 picture and then have animated words, or use one of the animated avatars and customize it yourself. If you make an account you can save it.
Also, check out tutorials on deviantart.com. I have no experience with animation, but many talented deviants put up resources to help other artists learn how to do new things.

Go to the Yahoo one, get one you like – or just sort a big category (Singles & Dating, Religion & Spirituality) on "most answers" and look at the ones on the answers. Press "Print Screen", open an image editor (even "Paint" will do), press "Paste", crop to fit.
I would like to use the triple moon goddess symbol for a avatar, but the avatar must be 50×50 in size. All the triple moon avatars that I have found are ten times larger then that.
I think you can just go on www.photobucket.com and upload and re size the image to the size you want.
it should be less than 15 kb but exactly to 50×50 pixels and i should have a lot of choices to select one between them,also a program which i can make an avatar with can also help me
Why not create an avatar using the built-in program that Yahoo Answers has. If you click on Edit My Info you’ll see a link in the Picture section to create your own Yahoo Answers avatar. It has tons of options including animation.

Well, go to photobucket, create an account, upload that photo, then click it and click ‘change size’ Then you can click 50/50.
Or you can open up paint, click "Image" Then click "Attributes" Then change it to 50-50 Then type that in or just change the size of it.
