How do i make a cartoon avatar to appear beside my name when i post or answer questions?
For a cartoon avatar, create it here:
http://avatar.yahoo.com
There are many many choices in styles appearances and colors – you can save more than one choice. Remember to SAVE it. Select the picture (avatar), Click ‘use picture’, then Save and Exit. There are many choices to be made, but remember to save your final choice.
Return to the Yahoo Answers site: http://answers.yahoo.com
To activate this avatar on YA site: left click, in order: … your current avatar or YA name
… ‘Edit My Info’ next to your avatar.… browse and select which avatar you want to use.
… ‘Preview’ (bottom), … then OK.
P.S.: Mine also shows up in the main Messenger program, because I used another technique. Open the Messenger, click Messenger tab > My Display Image > Share My Avatar. You could also use a picture here.
BONUS: The avatar will also appear in your Yahoo Mail too.

I don’t just want the avatars they serve us, I just want my own avatar. For example, a Sonic the Hedgehog avatar. That’s not what they give us. Please give me steps on how to upload it PLEASE!
You can’t. PSN is accessible to kids under 18. If they allowed custom avatars, you’d see porn avatars.
That is why, in a nutshell. You’ll never see custom avatars. Sony has no money to pay for mods to monitor them.
Peter Guber weighs in on whether the release of Avatar on DVD can revive the market for buying movies.

I want to upload my avatar in yahoo 360, and use it in Tulsaworld next to my screenname when I’m commenting on a post, but I don’t know how to manage that. Please give easy instructions. Thankx!
Tulsa World is not a Yahoo! Product, so there is no direct connection between the sites. Also, it’s not clear whether you are talking about a Yahoo! Avatar (http://avatars.yahoo.com ) or an image that you have on your computer.
Whatever the case, you can download or export your Yahoo! Avatar by following instructions here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/avatars/preferences/avatar-21.html and http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/avatars/preferences/avatar-22.html . Then, you can use the image wherever the code or the image type is accepted. You’d have to likely subscribe or register to the Tulsa World site and then they likely have instructions for how to add an image to your profile there.
In terms of 360, you can add Yahoo! Avatar by following these instructions – http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/profile/profile-19.html – or a different image by following these instructions: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/profile/profile-03.html .
Hayden Panettiere, Michelle Rodriguez and Adrian Grenier talk about Avatar’s environmental message and the impact that it’s had.

I have Sibelius 6, and I really want to be able to compose pieces in the same sort of style as the pieces by James Horner as used in the film Avatar. What instruments are used? Any tips for how I could start? Any common chord sequences or anything? Thanks it would mean so much to me!
you’ll need a good starters book on music composition. there are many great ones out there, check your local book stores and music stores. i would say string and horn instruments would be the most important, like epic orchestral sounds. what i do is get an electric keyboard, and just diddle around on the strings-setting and come up with melodies. then i remember/record them and just go from there, adding bass parts and sub-melodies.
to be honest, the only way to do it is to do it! (: so just go for it and try your best, and im sure you will compose some fine pieces.
I don’t want the cartoon avatar to show. In it’s place I want a jpg pic.
you have to upload a picture to your yahoo profile.
then go to my team
edit team setting
change image
and select your picture.
done.
