**Note**
It looks as if there are several plot holes at this point because we can’t just spill our guts about the entire story. Don’t worry, we’re not one of those stupid writers who do absolutely no research or has the mental capacity of a thimble. We’ve read many horrible fan fics based on Avatar, and trust us, we know why people would worry…
So if you’re concerned out the story, know that we have logical reasoning, but we don’t want to explain it all know and spoil the show for you! So fear not… There’s method to the madness…
HEY!!!! Just so you guys know, Shen is NOT… I repeat… IS NOT, Aang’s reincarnation.
When parts of this test animation trailer were being made, I wasn’t sure what type of bender Shen should be, so the animator animated him bending one of each element. Shen is not 5 years old, he is an adult… Aang’s reincarnation is a 5 year old waterbending child who was born into a Water Tribe family somewhere in the world… Water Tribe people mostly live in the North and South Poles, but with the war over, some live in the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom. And there’s the waterbenders that live Foggy Swamp too… The new Avatar could have been born anywhere…
So NO, the new Gaang isn’t looking for the new Avatar; they wouldn’t be able to find them…
**ALSO NOTE** Every animation in this trailer is a first attempt… These are just practice animations… They aren’t clips from the show, and they were animated with a simple animation program. We know have Animator – the best animation program out there… So our animator will be able to do much more with her mad animating skills!

In dem epischen Fantasy-Abenteuer AVATAR AUFBRUCH NACH PANDORA nimmt uns Star-Regisseur James Cameron („Titanic, „Aliens Die Rückkehr, „Der Terminator) mit in eine faszinierende neue Welt jenseits der Grenzen unserer Vorstellungskraft.
Gemeinsam mit Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) taucht der Zuschauer in eine fesselnde Story ein und geht auf eine Reise voller Gefahren und Entdeckungen.
Vor Jahren wurde Jake Sully schwer verwundet und ist seitdem von der Hüfte abwärts gelähmt. Als ihm für ein Projekt das Angebot unterbreitet wird, zum weit entfernten Pandora zu reisen, willigt er schnell ein, um seinem für ihn sinnlos gewordenen Leben zu entkommen. Denn dort erwarten ihn unvorstellbar schöne und farbenreiche Landschaften aus üppigen Regenwäldern mit fantastischen Pflanzen und Tieren manche wunderschön, andere furchterregend. Doch Pandora ist nicht unbewohnt: Die Navis sind die Ureinwohner des Planeten und leben im Einklang mit der Natur, die sie umgibt.
Pandora ist reich an dem für den Menschen sehr wertvollen Rohstoff Unobtainium. Da der Mensch in der Atmosphäre Pandoras nicht existieren kann, wurde ein wissenschaftliches Projekt initiiert, bei dem genetisch manipulierte Hybride aus menschlicher und Navi DNA erschaffen wurden: die so genannten Avatare. Ein Avatar wird von einem Menschen mental gesteuert, indem das menschliche Gehirn und die Gefühlsrezeptoren über eine spezielle Technologie mit dem Avatar-Körper verbunden sind. Leiterin des Projekts ist die Wissenschaftlerin Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver), die Jake zunächst skeptisch gegenüber tritt.
Während Jakes Erkundigungen auf Pandora trifft er die junge und schöne Navi Frau Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), die ihn sofort fasziniert. Durch sie lernt er nach und nach das Leben und die Kultur der Navis kennen.
Doch je mehr Zeit Jake mit den Navis verbringt, desto mehr gerät er in einen Konflikt, mit sich selbst und mit seiner Außenwelt. Er muss sich entscheiden, auf wessen Seite er steht in einem Kampf, der über das Schicksal einer ganzen Welt entscheidet

Back in 1996, James Cameron announced that he would be creating a film called Avatar, a science-fiction epic that would feature photo-realistic, computer-generated characters.
He had a treatment for the film, which already defined many things, including the Na’vi a primitive alien race standing ten feet tall with shining blue skin, living in harmony with their jungle-covered planet Pandora.
Soon after, though, Avatar had to be shelved as the technology of the time could not satisfy the creative desires of the director.
Fast-forward to October 2009: Dan Lemmon, FX supervisor and Andy Jones, animation director at Weta Digital have about two weeks left of visual effects production for Avatar. The near-900 strong crew spanned across six locations are practically working around the clock to achieve what was deemed impossible a decade earlier.
Weta Digital, the New Zealand studio responsible for the groundbreaking visual effects in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong, is taking VFX to a new level of creative and technological excellence.
For Avatar, the studio has created over 1,800 stereoscopic, photo-realistic visual effects shots, many of them of the Na’vi as ‘hero’ characters. In addition to digital characters and environments are the machines, vehicles, equipment and everything else that help blur the line between imagination and reality.
“We’re not just talking about the environment, but the creatures, the machines and the vehicles that people use to get around. The whole world is unique and because of the way James Cameron approaches things, everything seems functional and believable. Compared to other sci-fi fantasy genre films there’s a certain level of realism just in the design that makes it very believable,” says VFX supervisor Dan Lemmon.
